A family of great taste
We are a family business, passionate about bringing our family of great-tasting products into your home.

Our story dates back to the 1880s in West Cork where our Clonakilty Blackpudding was first made using a secret recipe, passed down through the generations in our family butcher shop Edward Twomey’s. Since then we’ve grown our collection of products to include Whitepudding, Rashers, Sausages and most recently Veggie Pudding.

HISTORY
The Clonakilty Story
The story of Clonakilty Food Co. begins in 1976 when Edward Twomey purchased a butcher shop in the centre of the West Cork town of the same name and with it came a secret recipe for black pudding. The recipe dated back to the early 1880s and plays a central role in our company’s success.
The Guardians have each in their turn carried on the legacy, inheriting the secret recipe from their predecessor, preserving the unique blend of spice and ingredients as a formula to hand to the next generation.
