Clonakilty Whitepudding Apple & Relish Puff Pastry Swirls

An impressive brunch snack to treat the family at the weekend! With minimal ingredients, a quick and easy process and a delicious outcome, what more could you want!


150g Clonakilty Whitepudding, crumbled

1/2 cup tomato chutney or relish

1 apple peeled & grated

20g melted butter

1 egg yolk

1 sheet frozen puff pastry


  1. Crumble the Whitepudding using your clean hands, peel and grate the apple
  2. Lightly roll out 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry
  3. Brush the pastry sheet with melted butter, making sure to get the edges to help it stick
  4. Spread on a thin layer of relish
  5. Crumble the Whitepudding over top and spread it out evenly
  6. Add the grated apple
  7. Roll it up into a log and trim the ends
  8. Brush top with egg yolk
  9. Using a sharp clean knife cut out 6 swirls
  10. Place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper, egg wash the tops and sides a little more
  11. Place into a preheated oven at 200C for 20 minutes
  12. Enjoy!
